Built so therapists can stay present
Emosapien supports clinician-led therapy with consent-based session context, reviewable notes, follow-ups, and practice admin help, so software never has to take a clinical role.
You review, edit, and sign every note. Emosapien is built around consent, access control, and HIPAA-aware workflows.
Our purpose
Therapy needs attention, not another screen to manage
Emosapien began with a practical problem clinicians know too well. The session asks for presence, attunement, and judgment. The system around the session asks for notes, summaries, treatment-plan updates, check-ins, and proof that the work is clinically traceable.
We built Emosapien to carry that surrounding workload without taking the clinician out of the center of care. The product uses session context only with consent, organizes details for clinician review, drafts documentation, and helps clients stay connected between appointments.
The therapist remains the decision-maker. Emosapien supports the workflow around therapy; it does not diagnose, replace clinical judgment, or make clinical decisions for the therapist.

What we build
Documentation and continuity support around the clinical workflow
Emosapien is designed for therapists, psychologists, counselors, clinical social workers, and practice owners who need support before, during, and after care.
Clinical presence first
With consent, Emosapien structures session context and optional private prompts for clinician review, so attention stays with the client rather than the keyboard.

Note format
Documentation that follows the work
The Scribe Agent drafts SOAP, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, summaries, and treatment-plan updates from the actual session context. Clinicians review, edit, and sign before anything becomes the record.
Continuity between sessions
Engagement and Insight agents help practices hold the thread between appointments through check-ins, journalling, homework, outcome tracking, and next-session briefs.

Our principles
The guardrails behind the product
Clinicians stay in control
Every draft note, plan, summary, or suggested prompt sits under clinician review. The AI can reduce the load, but it cannot replace therapeutic judgment or the clinician-client relationship.
Privacy is part of the product
Client data deserves healthcare-grade handling. Emosapien is built around consent, encryption, access control, auditability, and a no-training-on-client-data commitment.
Therapy is the lane
We do not build a broad healthcare note tool and rename it for mental health. Emosapien is therapy support software shaped around therapy notes, therapeutic modalities, client engagement, treatment continuity, and the realities of private practice.

Why practices switch from passive note tools
The reason to move to Emosapien is practical: therapy-specific notes begin from consented session context and active goals, clinicians review every draft before the record, and the platform carries the treatment thread beyond the note.
For a notes-first switcher, the difference is not just a cleaner transcript. Emosapien adds three concrete layers around the note: goal-linked session support, clinician-signed documentation, and follow-through with check-ins, homework, outcome measures, and next-session briefs.
Notes that start from therapy
SOAP, DAP, BIRP, and GIRP drafts come from consented session context, active treatment goals, and the therapist's edits, not a generic transcript clean-up.
A review loop before the record
Every note, plan update, and summary stays in clinician review until the therapist edits, approves, and signs it into the record.
Continuity beyond the note
Check-ins, journalling, homework, outcome measures, and next-session briefs help practices preserve the thread between appointments.
Start with the free plan, then move to a paid tier when real-time session support, analytics, and expanded client engagement fit the practice. Current plan details are on pricing, and the therapy practice case studies show how representative practices judge the workflow.
